Had a great time learning aerial yoga and hatha yoga from Thomas. Best part is that it’s a small class (10-15 people, but sometimes less) so the instructor can teach you what you need to work on. He also has an assistant (I forgot her name) who helps beginners so no one falls behind. The teacher is also trilingual in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Would definitely recommend!

Friendly and professional teacher, very clean space and provide lockers with locks. Padded studio and provide different varieties of yoga equipment for practice. The first 2 times for aerial yoga have experienced dizziness, but when body has adapted at the 3rd time, we enjoy the hanging practice afterwards. New comers should give your body a few more times to adapt. It's especially good for correcting posture and relax back muscles. We also attend the Hatha yoga, my husband said it's even more stretching than the aerial yoga but very helpful for him whom sits a lot for driving and working on computer.

Good things come in time and yoga is one of those things. I signed up for unlimited yoga for a month and let me share my experience with you. Aerial yoga: i have taken this previously at another gym that used hammocks where as Akasa uses silks. You're upside down a lot and if you have low blood pressure like me you'll get dizzy and might feel like your head might explode. This takes time getting used to. Don't be afraid to get back upright to take a rest. I also would like to stress for beginners to wear a tight shirt and leggings. It is uncomfortable with the fabric rubbing against your skin and armpits with all your body weight on it. Aerial yoga is fun and it takes time for your body to get used to it and to build the necessary muscles to do more advance poses. Hanuman: this is a truely different type of yoga. Youll be hanging upside down with a rope (a lot less fabric compared to silks) supporting your hips. It'll create a lot of pressure on your inner tighs and may cause a bit a bruising. It'll take some time to get used to as well. Once you're comfortable with repositioning yourself it'll get easier. Teaching: based on majority of the class it can be taught in english, mandarin or cantonese but most importantly its easier to watch first then practice. There's no levels so everyone goes at their own pace which can be annoying since it takes a long time to teach beginners how to invert. But i do like that every class is different and the instructors push you to excel. The instructors are very helpful and ensure that everyone is practicing safely. If you love the burning pain and sense of accomplishment then this place is for you. Disclaimer: not for people scared of heights, pain or gives up easily.

Great experience! Instructors are very patience and friendly. very clean environment. Always have enough parking. As I am very prone to wrist and knee injury, this is definitely a great place for me.
