I tried to apply to do teacher training (yoga for the special child) at this school. I am a yoga and mindfulness teacher, psychologist and used to teach children with autism however due to having a disability I need reasonable adjustments to be made in order to be able to attend courses like this. I emailed them with my needs and they advised I attend some of their yoga classes instead of doing the teacher training even though I am more than qualified to do this course. They have ignored my responses including an email I sent last month reminding them that they still haven't addressed my emails. I feel strongly enough to write this review following lack of response as it is supposed to be school that understands disability! Please practice what you preach...

I attended Aphrodite's Tuesday night open level Hatha class and have nothing but good words for her and the studio in general. The class was a really nice number of us and Aphrodite was very caring in her instruction as she guided us through the class. I felt very welcome in the studio and the space was very calming, I left feeling totally relaxed and will be sure to come back again soon!

I have booked the morning class twice and I have shown up to a closed centre. The first time I called I was promised a free class but the last couple of times I rang I had to leave a message. Shame because I was won over by the work they do ☹️

The MahaDevi Yoga studio is one of the best yoga studios I have been to, period. It is run by THE best yoga teacher I have ever had (Denisa), period. She is thorough, knowledgeable, supportive and provides a positive and friendly environment. If you live in or around the area, this is the only yoga studio you should consider. Your body and mind will thank you for it.

Mahadevi is a small yoga centre, with very welcoming teachers and yogis. They don't only do yoga and leave the studio they also are very friendly people.. ***i felt the need to update my review after a month of yoga lessons at the studio, I've been doing yoga for years now and I'm aware that every yoga teacher and style is different from each other, but the class i took was an open level Hatha yoga and in the last session we didn't do a single down dog, I don't know what a yoga class is without down dog.. is like the session was an hour of asanas, but not yoga, no flow, no sequence, for no warm up, no chanting, no sun saluations.. No preparation for the asanas. I aspect the teacher to guide me through the practice but the teacher kept saying 'you know what to do' .. I don't like to write a bad comment but I won't be visiting any more.
