I'm not sure what is different about what I experienced vs other people but these are some of the most unprofessional, rude people I have ever encountered. I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for similar services, look elsewhere

Ottawa lifestyle has awesome classes.. their pound class is a great workout. I always walk out wanting to go back week after week. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Willing to work with all fitness levels. I have worked with many personal trainers at Ottawa lifestyle each staff member wants to get to you and knows your name. You are not a number.

The Lifestyle Centre is one of the most balanced, and comprehensive fitness and lifestyle facilities in Ottawa. In addition to amazing (and affordable) workouts, their staff are educated and knowledgeable and have a vested interest in your personal improvement. Highly recommended.

First experience was amazing - then it quickly became gimmicky. Started with a groupon deal - and then quickly they try and get you to sign up with all of their classes etc. They hound you after class to try and get you to do a "free assessment" to find areas that you need work - that are conveniently fixed by their specific classes. They call and email, and call,a and email, and call again to try and get you to come back. I just wanted to work out - I didn't want to be harassed. Had it not been for that - I might have considered staying. The other issue is that they charge the same that a high end institution would charge with highly qualified staff. If the prices were reasonable, and the staff wasn't so persistent - then the environment may have been more conducive to having newcomers stay.

I've been going here for over a year and will continue to do so because it's awesome! The classes are dynamic, intense (and some not so intense), and fun. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and really get down to how they can help you as an individual with different needs from everyone else, which go way beyond just giving you a good physical workout. This is the place to go if you want a welcoming and chill environment to be in.
