My daughters and I did "Yoga at the Farm" at Island Hill Farm weekly for 8 weeks June-Aug, 2017. We were all beginners and the instructor, Charles, was exceptional at making us feel capable. He demonstrated all the poses and provided positive corrections when necessary. He is focused and serious, yet has a laugh and an ability to teach that is engaging. Each week we repeated some poses and learned new ones. Everyone in class seemed able to participate without difficulty and I view this as a reflection of excellent instruction. I was impressed at the way Charles interacted with my daughters, telling interesting stories about his time in India and encouraging them to share stories about their experiences while on PEI. Island Hill farm is a beautiful location. From the yoga loft you can look out at rolling farm fields or look down at the goats and other animals roaming in the barn. I would highly recommend that yoga lovers include "Yoga at the Farm" as part of their PEI experience. We look forward to returning next summer for more "Yoga at the Farm". Charles is a wonderful yoga instructor, and he has created a beautiful practice in a renovated historic barn in Warren Grove, Prince Edward Island. Charles' attention to form and to his students' practice make each class a memorable experience. And in the summer, he offers fresh raspberries, beans, and more for sale, from his garden. Yoga Grove is definitely worth the short trip out of Charlottetown.

The best Yoga experience I've ever had. Charles is incredibly accommodating for any age and is extremely passionate about his teachings. He is welcoming to beginners and makes you feel comfortable on your first day. He has studied abroad in India, making him remarkably knowledgable in the teachings of Mr. Iyengar. The location is minutes away from the busy city and provides a calm place for meditation. The barn is gorgeous and quiet, perfect for the ultimate yoga experience.

Charles at Yoga Grove gives an ideal experience! The lessons can be tailored for all experience levels, and the Iyengar style is a refreshing approach. You'll work hard and feel great afterwards. To top it off, the barn in Warren Grove is a perfect setting. Highly recommend for anyone considering trying something new!
