Would be 5 star but they've quit doing maintenance! Men's hand dryer has been broken for months. Loved this location for proximity to home and (mostly) because there's a good amount of space. If it closes and Brighton is smaller (aka the same size as all of the other Motion's) I'll be cancelling my membership.

Motion Fitness is a great place to stay fit. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Only two issues prevent me from giving a five star rating to the gym. First is the lack of timely maintenance. Having worked with equipment most of my life, I understand that machines breakdown. It is the timeliness of making repairs that counts. Cardio equipment in the gym is very poorly maintained, often with multiple pieces out of order for far too long. Squeaky, loud treadmills, loose, wobbly elliptical machines are often slow to be ‘tuned up’. Worn out upholstery is another thing that makes the gym look like no one cares. Though it doesn’t effect the use of the equipment, it really would look bad to a newcomer to the gym. My second concern is the lack of effort to have each and every gym member remove outside footwear when they enter the gym. Winter or summer, there is no reason for anyone to walk into the gym with outside shoes on. It is disrespectful to the facility, the other gym members, and also shows disrespect to the owners. Thank you for the opportunity to formally mention my concerns. Regards Dwayne Mitchell

I love this gym. People are friendly. Cleaners do a good job. The only thing that I would add is some classes geared to the "gentle" ie after a heart attack, after hip surgery, after/during cancer treatment. The classes now are for the "healthy" even if the instructor says there are options.

I was a member and asked them to freeze my account because of health issues. At first, they froze my account and deduct $7 per month which was fine with me, but after a while they start deducting the actual membership fee which is $50 per month without notice. when i noticed after 4 months, i called them to ask about $200 deductions over 4 months, they told me, that i haven't signed the freeze form which wasn't the case at all because the last time they never mentioned the form and we did it over the phone. They are not honest about their policies and they try to screw you over and over again. not the best customer service nor management. just a trash place to deal with.

Good gym lots of equipment. Change rooms on the other hand are a disgrace always smell like urine. Showers are unusable and seems to be some stains on the roof. Go here to work out but shower at home
