Well equipped campground, especially for the beginner camper. We got an “Otentik” which is an A-frame cabin/tent with permanent sleep shelves with pads, tables and chairs both inside and outside. There’s drinking water onsite and firewood stacks all around and fire pits at each site. Our site even came with a propane BBQ. The only knocks are that some of the sites are still quite close to the main park road, with cars returning to the city late into the evening. There was also a fair number of loud modified cars, but maybe that was an odd coincidence. All in all, if you are new to camping, or just want something easy and close to the city, then this place is hard to beat.

Great spot to spend your day off. Plan to reach as early as possible the parking lot fills up by noon and stays that way.. also remember to display your yearly pass if you have it. Helps you avoid the que to enter the park. The canoe rental is good idea if you are willing.

Nice campground. Cheap. For a small fee unlimited firewood. Bison Moose Deer abound. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful camping experience! Great hiking trails, well kept washrooms, all necessary amenities close to each site. We will definitely be coming back!

A very nice National Park. Love that it is part of a night sky preserve, it does come to life. Tons of hiking and nature to take in.
