My parents had there wedding there and I went there for a week and I had a blast I made new friends the staff were really nice and when my parents got married the view was beautiful at night so great job and keep doing what you doing and there are swing sets in from of some of the cabins so thats another bonus

Great camp for HUGE groups. We attended a scouts weekend at the camp with 70 people and lots of room. Industrial sized kitchen handles everything. There is even high chairs! The lodge includes a room dedicated to first-aide. The water is well water which has a sulfur smell. The water in the kitchen however must be filtered since it doesn't smell and tastes great. Be sure to bring indoor shoes as the bottom floor of the main lodge is concrete. There is no internet or cell connectivity. I was able to send SMS text messages; They wouldn't send right away and would send as I moved to a magic spot around the facility. There is a detailed map of the facility on the Camp Valaqua website on the "Contact Us" page. "Jackpine Inn" had a lot of balls and hockey equipment for some pickup games of hockey.

Camp Valaqua is such a lovely camp! It’s lots of fun for kids of all ages. The staff are so nice and friendly. They are fed great yummy food there, my daughter is a picky eater and even she was very satisfied with the food. There are nice well built cabins with nice stable bunk beds. The activities are super fun, they do swimming in the river, canoeing, archery, arts and crafts, rock climbing, camp skills and more. And the nature there is absolutely beautiful. The staff is so thoughtful that they write hand-written letters to the children. Every night before bed they would go by the fire and it is so nice and cozy. They play super fun games. And they also have this thing called an overnighter, it’s basically where they go to a place outside of the campsite and they just sleep in the wilderness. They also give you a free camp valaqua shirt which is very nice. Overall camp valaqua is an awesome camp and my daughter can’t wait to go back next year. Definitely recommend. 😄

Older campsite, but plenty of hot water for showers. And there's a wood-burning fireplace inside the main building. Fire wood is included in your stay.
