My husband and I had our wedding at Camp Chief Hector this June and we all had a blast! The staff, caterers and bar staff were great, they allowed us to have our two dogs as well to share our special day which was so awesome. We rented the Forrest House and Hector Lodge, and everyone had a good stay over the weekend, I definitely recommend getting married here, or having any other special event, the scenery is breathtaking, and it’s much more affordable and the funds go to a great cause.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The coordinators, counselors, Cooks, and everyone were phenomenal, professional, and helpful. The camp is very very well-designed and operated with great efficiency for large amounts of children. I recommend taking your class in a heart beat.

I do not recommend this place to picky eaters or people who don't like being in nature. Most of the places to sleep in are comfy and nice. If you are clumsy or just careless, there are many logs and rocks to hurt yourself on, im currently wearing a cast because i broke my foot at CCH. The days are just simply too long, waking up at 7:00 and going to bed at 9:30 with a day filled with walking and hiking is not very enjoyable. The food there has given me diarrhea for the past few days and DONT be expecting to shower every day! You get to shower once, depending on the cabin group or tipi groups. And dont expects breaks when you want them, and snacks, snacks are not allowed anywhere. I hope this is useful :)
