Great family campground! There were 3 playgrounds that I saw, with the one at the beach area being the biggest. We stayed with the extended family and had 4 two year olds and 3 babies with us. Facilities were above par for a campground and reasonably clean. A and B loops are more private, C & D loops are closer quarters, and have slightly better access to the beach. While we were there, the beach area was full of millions of some little (non-biting) fly which made the beach area unusable, but that's not the parks fault. Google doesn't have a review system for mother nature AFAIK.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds in Central Alberta. Most of the sites are a good size and have large mature trees. There is a playground between loops A & C. The beach is within walking distance. The downsides are: because there are no power sites in this campground people tend to use their generators, A LOT - the last time we were there, the family next to us ran their generator for 6 or more hours a day; and the washroom and shower facilities are only ok - the bathrooms are often out of order and the building can be a little smelly. It is, however, nice to have the option to shower if need be. Other than that I would spend all summer at Brewers if I was able to.

I've been camping here for over 20 years. It's sure gone downhill since. The washrooms are dirty. The staff are not nearly as friendly. The grass area is full of weeds. Now they brought in campground hosts that don't do anything except created their own place to store all their toys. BC plates I might add. Starting this summer they now charge for $5.00 for RV dump. They never told me about this charge when I booked this spring. I noticed that during the week the campground is only half full which never happened a couple of years ago. I would like to suggest it's time for the parks to clamp down on the generators. Solar panels have come along way folks. Every morning when when I walk down to the beach it's such a mess. Maybe it's time for the dayuse people to pay their own way.

Excellent family campground! Well maintained and a huge kid friendly beach, with all the facilities you could need for your stay!
