Such breathtaking views! Every camp site has a direct path down to the lake, framed beautifully by the epic mountains of Canmore. There's plenty of privacy, with most sites tucked nicely into the trees. Amenities are limited, with porta potties sparsely dotted throughout the grounds (which can get a little gnarly) and firewood available for purchase. But really, the views are what make this spot worth it.

Amazing sites for privacy and no huge camper trailers out in luxury units. Amazing views and access to make from site.

I called ahead to make sure this campground could facilitate a 30' 5th Wheel trailer and I was told it did. The road in was the worst washboard I have ever been on, 25km of it. I did about 5km/hr in order to not shake my trailer to pieces, still managed to lose most of my cupboard contents. Next, the campground is VERY natural, sites are not level, trees everywhere in the site making it very difficult for parking/leveling and getting slides out. Huge hills we could never get into/out of for campsites, very difficult to turn around in this campground, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANY SLIGHTLY LARGE TRAILER as there are only a few spots you can use, and lucky for us these few sites were already occupied by tiny tents. Very beautiful scenery, very nice campground for tenters, campers, small bumper pulls only. I will not go here again as the road in was hell and was not worth the frustration of trying to park in the worst site I've camped in. Also, so much traffic in there doing laps on the west end, dusted out over and over and OVER AGAIN as no one was following the posted speed limit of 20km and the campground is too spaced out for most people to walk to the registration booths/garbages. Did not enjoy my stay.
