Always love this campground. The whole family meets there on Canada Day weekend every year. Great sites and lake access.

I have been to Floating Stone several times for a family event and overall found it enjoyable. There are outhouses in each loop and a shower house with a flush toilets is available. The toilet in the men's needs to be fixed as it was rocking on its base. The sites are of a decent size and well treed. Power is available on most sites. Water is not. They sell firewood for a reasonable price. While not under control of the campsite, the lake is currently not useable for swimming due to an algae invasion. This campsite is about 2 hours north of Edmonton, and easy to find with Google Maps as a guide. I would recommend going if you are looking for a site with power and a shower nearby.

Great Northern Alberta lake

The beach and playground were great! Lots of sand and beach umbrellas were available for the public to use, which was fantastic because it was +30°C that day. The only bad thing we experienced was the lake already had swimmers itch in it. All 3 of my kids got it. That's not anyone's fault though and nothing can really be done about it. It was just kind of a bummer that we drove out there for the day and the kids are still paying for it. Oh well, if you live in Alberta, you will eventually get the itch st some point in your life!
