This is my absolute favorite place in the park! You can walk to most of the good hikes from here, there is tons of wildlife, the views are spectacular, I wouldn't camp anywhere else. Swift current inn has your basic supplies, the restaurant is ok if you don't feel like cooking, they even have showers if you need them. They are expensive, $5 for about 8 minutes of water when I went. Make sure you put everything that has ever touched food into your car or hard sided trailer, there are bears everywhere. I even walk around with my bear spray. The rangers are very attentive. They definitely keep a tight leash which is good. If you're lucky to get reservations it's way easier, if not show up really early to get a spot.

Couldn’t have been luckier, we got the last camping spot! Ask the rangers before you go out to hike - we had our own ideas but we’re always glad we took their recommendations instead. They not only know the highlights of all the trails, but know appropriateness for skill levels, and especially where not to go based on the weather!

This is a great campground with cabins. It’s the best area to see moose, bears, goats. Always a beautiful day and less traveled than the Going To the Sun road

Please subtract one star form this rating to be more accurate rating. I guess this being a government run operation you get what you would expect. I wanted to make camp site reservations. Having never been to the park I wanted to talk to someone about the various camp sites. Not going to happen! Their system always funnels you around to a call desk that is clueless about the actually place you are going. I told the guy I wanted to stay at a campsite in Glacier National park. First he asked me how did I spell glacier and then he wanted to know what state it was in. Totally unbelievable! So he ends looking at the same reservation web page that I was looking at. Again this is not worth anything. Gee! Do you think it would be too much to actually have a human being that is familiar with the park to talk to? My plan this summer was to head out to the north west and visit many of the national parks. This really turns me off to that idea. What good are these parks if they are almost impossible to get good information on. We have done the just show up and hope for the best in the past and that sucks to say the least. Very disappointed to say the least.

Lots of wildlife in the area. Could be tough to get reservations, so show up early. Expect it to be crowded but worth the visit.
