Nice campground. Very busy. Lots of full time seasonal campers, most of them have golf carts. The golf carts are being driven around all day, this makes it very hard to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The carts are also being driven around by children so be careful when your walking out of your camp site.

Ive been coming here for over 30 years. There has been many changes over the years, and they are all good changes. This is a very well run resort. White sand beaches, great marinas, well equipped store, restaurant, boat rentals, fish cleaning facilities, and just about anything else you will need to spend some quality time camping at the lake. On the weekends in the summer the resort hosts the farmers market which is always a big hit. Canada Day is always great, and the fireworks show is amazing... likely one of the best fireworks displays around.

Shaw’s Point is a very nice well run place. We have been coming here for 30 years. The marinas and boat launch are great. I would have given more stars except for the exorbitant prices. The nightly rate is high but what I really object to is the $13.00 per day for our boat which with gst comes to over $65.00 per day and lots of days we didn’t even use the boat due to weather. I think a onetime charge of $20.00 or so would be much more fair for the boat. We stayed 6 nites , put the boat in the water once and that cost us $78.00 plus gst just to have the boat here. A little unreasonable I would say. We are seniors and on a fixed income. Next year we are considering other places on the lake to cut down on expenses .

My parents have had a seasonal spot here as long as I can remember. My only complaint is how they are ripping out 50 acres of foilage to make new spots and it looks ugly and the wind coverage is poor.

Pros: Park, beach, dog beach, store, Sami dump stations, seasonal camping prices, restaurant, fishing. Negative: Unable to make reservations. You are put where the staff decides. You don't get a choice on the area even though a ton of vacant spots. Staff was rude on phone, and when we checked in, they were rude again... Needs better customer service.
