Don’t trust any five star reviews from “local guides”. They are either getting paid to post these reviews or to get points. This camp is designed to take away any last remaining vestiges of mental health you had before you came here. Kitchen is a “serve yourself” buffet that is completely unsanitary, so you get to dish up using utensils that 500 other people have handled. Next up: bottled water and drinks are unavailable for packing into lunches. This is the only camp I’ve ever seen that does not provide drinks for lunches. Most camps have an area outside the kitchen where you can hang your backpack while you have breakfast and grab your lunch. Not here. Instead, you have to walk your lunch back to your room to get your bag. For $200 a night or whatever the employers are paying, it’s terrible value. It’s just an American owned outfit that hates workers and tries to extract as much profit as possible while delivering as little value as they can. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you want to experience rock bottom.

I've been staying here for over a year, and it's the same bag up lunches day in and day out. The selection is abysmal, options never change, and all they offer are sandwiches and a few nasty packaged frozen dinners. When you eat your dinners at the dining hall, security watches you like prison guards to make sure you aren't sneaking out the slightly better supper for your lunch, people who get caught get banned and thrown out of camp. Honestly, they run this place like a prison, you are treated like subhuman garbage by the staff. Now its time to address the biggest issue.....cockroaches scampering down the halls, crawling in your rooms, and bed bug infestations in multiple wings. They have heaters setup to cook them out, but they just keep migrating to other rooms. I personally know individuals who have gotten bed bug bites and brought bed bugs home on days off. If the rooms and the hallways are this dirty, I don't even want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. Alberta health and safety NEEDS to investigate this place, this is unacceptable. Maybe if staff cleaned rooms more than once every 7 days, they would eliminate these infestations.

I long for the sweet embrace of death. But I don't have to share a washroom! Four stars just for that.

Absolutely ridicules. I had cockroches in my room. Seen lots in the hallway and acouple of my buddy's got bit by bed bugs and had to throw away all there clothes. When you try to address the situation and talk to the front desk or manager they just fluff it off like it's not a big deal. They don't change the sheets nor give you fresh towels. This place is absolutely disgusting. I constantly see Herman Nelson's going and the socks plumed Into the windows of rooms. (Trying to get rid of bed bugs and cockroaches) but if you ask the staff or manager why there is Herman Nelson's going Into people's rooms they can't give you an answer.

You can’t visit your spouse? Is this prison? No because actually prisons let you visit, so it’s worse. No visitors, and no leaving w out a vehicle, i have to sign him out? Being away from home is hard enough, banning family visits is INSANE. I cant even say a proper goodbye when i drop him off. Wouldnt it be awesome if you could treat the people in your lodging as actual people? They are not machines. Oh and they do road maintenance very infrequently, so be careful for the giant pot holes on the way in, they broke my husbands truck 😒 My husband took my car and i accidentally left a roach that was already smoked in it, they banned him. But they dont care if you smuggle alcohol in the camp, as 10’s of bottles are littered by the doors, but they will ban you for bringing in your wife’s empty weed container after you piss clean.
