On our way to the Dickson Trout Pond we stumbled across this provincial park and we were not disappointed. We used one of their day areas that was right along a bend in the Little Red Deer River. It's very nice for sure; albeit, it's closer to the highway than I typically would like. We managed to even catch a few fish: 1 mooneye and 3 suckers, but it counts. I would recommend bringing strong bug spray; however, they do have a cute little store on site that does sell some if you forget.

Great place for floating on the river. Some sites are pretty close together. Has showers and flush toilets in one building. Other toilets are outhouses, but clean. Playground is good for kids and has nice sand. Hookups are mostly just 15 amp, no water hookups. Lots of trees. Has little store. About 10 minutes from Bowden.

Great place to camp. Very accessible peaceful. And love the scenery. Floating down the lazy river is so much fun even when you are in your 50s. I wish there was more electrical sites available.

Beautiful camping spot. Exceeded my expectations. River had plenty of spots for quiet relaxing or letting the kids play, campground was fairly quiet and the short distance to Olds make this a prime "quick get-away". Only 90 mins from Calgary but feels a world away.
