A very well managed facility. Quiet and restful despite its central location. There was very little traffic in the campground as all amenities are within walking distance. The train tracks in the back are deceiving as it appears they are not used, at least over the weekend. Sylvan Lake town has many well designed paved trails (located behind the campground), so I would recommend a site that backs onto the tracks for a restful night. The on-site managers were very friendly and helpful, from site selection, firewood delivery and keeping gates closed at night. The sites are short and the roadway is narrow. When the facility was first established, RV's were shorter compared to the 25 to 35 ft units in use today, however, there is plenty of room for guest parking on on the street. The majority of patrons come to enjoy the beach, shopping and nightlife of Sylvan Lake so additional facilities are not required at the campground. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed the playground for the kids at the beach, went bowling at the lanes adjacent to the campground. When the weather cooled, we went swimming at the newly renovated municipal pool.

FANTASTIC PLACE!! Just stayed a week, and we can’t wait to come back. Small sites but perfect, you don’t need anything more. Staff were kind, helpful and they don’t bother you at all. We went with dogs and teenagers. Everyone had a great time. The beach was 1 block from the RV. Busy but beautiful. Stay on the side with the train. I am absolutely surprised by the other reviews. Train wasn’t a bother at all. People weren’t loud. Great family site. Or for a small group of friends. Have a great summer!

This is a campsite that is good if you’re going to spend a night or two in Sylvan. If you want to spend more time there it’s best to look for another place to stay. The Management treated us well and the traffic noise aside, it was nice place ... however the public facilities were rather dirty, the prices for anything (from wood to soft drinks to registration fees) were way too high.

Tight for larger trailers over 28ft. Lots are smaller and have to buy your would from site at a premium. Bring sewage extension if tanks are near back of trailer as sewer is more front of sites. At $60/night it's a little steep but there is nothing else in town. Plus being only a short walk to the beach and lake front.

Worst experience I've ever had. Management was rude, and smelled so strongly of booze. Not to mention the train was so loud and kept us up all night. I'd still have to say management was the biggest issue and I can't believe someone would treat a customer like that. I only gave this a one star because there was no "0" rating.
