Went out on a 3-day backcountry trip with great horses and an awesome guide. Had lots of fun, food at the camps was delicious and even though it was smokey at low areas we could see the mountains when we were up higher. On the second and third day we even had blue sky for some time. The camps are well equipped and a hot shower feels really good after a long and exciting day in the mountains! Thanks to Tyax Adventures for this unique experience!

We did a beautiful ride from Tyaughton Lake up Gun Creek to Spruce Lake on day one of our 3 night hut adventure and were greeted by Pierre, our camp host, who immediately fed us with nachos and incredible hospitality. Great shower, conversations, trail advice and accommodations, along with bike stand, lube, rags and tools. But Pierre really outdid himself with the dinner -- Salmon buerre blanc, broccoli, salad, rice ... followed by maybe the best berry cobbler I have ever eaten. By far the best backwoods meal I've ever enjoyed. Shout out to Jamie the wrangler for packing it all in and chasing down those wondering geldings!
