The spot the park ranger suggest was BEAUTIFUL. I loved having a sit on the river side. It was spacious, with all the basics, a table, fire pit and flat ground for a tent. The toilets were outhouses but well kept. This location was low cost and very easy to get to. Close to hikes and Harrison. Sensitive sleepers beware: the site is close to a very loud bridge that sounds like very far away gunshots.

Camped here in late March and we were the only ones in a tent! Lots of RVs and campers as it is a year round campsite accessed by a paved road. Campsites are clean and big! Lots of trees but still quite open and we could see / hear our neighbours on one side (no neighbours on the other) We were right on the river, which was lovely. We walked down the Chehalis River Fishing Trail with our dog and it was such a beautiful walk. It was well marked with lots of logs and fallen trees to maneuver. I loved it! The hosts were really nice when we checked in and we barely saw them after that. I don’t give the campground 5 stars because while the road is far enough away, anytime a truck drove over the nearby bridge it sounded like thunder! Even over the sound of the rushing river. That freaked out puppy and was kind of annoying! I don’t like hearing city sounds while I camp. Other than that it was a great weekend!

Had a great day experience! Trails are expertly maintained, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere is perfect! Can't wait to camp here overnight and come back!

The best spots are along the river about halfway down after that you start hearing Bridge noise.

Great place. Sites are all large and have recently been redone. New manager lady who was very nice and polite. Only complaints was the bathrooms were out of tp and stank really bad.
