Beautiful open views but still lots of trees for shade and cover. Awesome place to be in the spring and fall. If you like hot and dry go here in summer. No showers as of this writing anywhere in the park so you will be in the lake a lot! Why no showers? Don't miss the gigantic Anthill just meters to the right of the gate house. It is just buzzing with activity. The road in can be a challenge for even the smallest towed rig so make sure everything is lashed down and secure. The rapid undualtions and back and forth up and down nature of the roads will give you and your cargo a real workout.

Nice area, lake is pretty. There are no showers and they ran out of firewood when we arrived. Only complaint is ZERO enforcement of quiet hours Someone is blasting music at midnight on a Tuesday And they have really bad taste in music.

The sites don't offer any privacy since they are open. Something to keep in mind if car camping. Due to the open sites, the summer sun is very hot with no shade. Since the ground is hard due to the gravel, only a free standing tent is suitable as it is impossible to get tent stakes into the ground. I enjoyed the loop trail which begins across the road at the park entrance. Also, during the night, a squirrel got into the engine and was ripping away at the insulation material at the back of the engine wall. I have read on the internet that rodents can chew the engine wiring which requires costly repairs.

Absolutely stunning part of the world ,beautiful landscape and picnic areas ,campsites are quite large but lacking shaded areas so you would need a canopy of some sort .

Great provincial park. Nice sites , especially the lake front sites. Not as much shade as other parks, but good for solar panels . Access to water and sani-dump . Sani-dump is $5 .This park had a little store . Nice beach and swimy area .The lake is a nice size . Slow down on the road going to the camp ground, very bumpy for a paved road .
