My only gripe is that it was crowded on a long weekend, which I really should have expected. Lovely lake, good camping spots, food cache and facilities in better shape than I'm used to. The overflow area is a bit haphazard in terms of finding a spot to pitch your tent, but not bad. Totally worth the hike.

This is a back country camp ground in strathcona park. It has a pit toilet, and that is its only ammenity. You will want to filter or purify any water you drink from this lake, unless you want to bring home some little friends that you didn't come into the park with. The best part about kwai lake is that it is usually much quieter than circlet lake. If you're heading to mount Albert Edward, this campsite is a bit less likely to be filled with people, but it is quite a bit further from the mountain. In my experience, the bugs are less agressive than the circlet lake bugs, but that might just be my imagination. The lake itself is beautiful, and it's a short distance away from the Cruikshank canyon and a few other gems in the park.

It is a relatively small lake that features campgrounds for you to pitch a tent. You could also string hammocks between trees for daytime relaxation. There is a washroom facility, as well as metal food cache to store your food. If it gets busy, there are overflow campgrounds. Some campsites have views to the glaciers. To get to Kwai Lake from the parking lot takes approximately 3 - 4 hours.

Nicest of the campgrounds this side of Strathcona.
