Tribune Bay Campsite is my family's favorite campsite. 5 minute walk to a white sand warm water beach on the west coast. The Co-op, and many local restaurants and vendors (yes fancy coffee) , are located at the far end of the campground. The campground showers always have hot water and have a good sized change area, wear flip flops. We brought a large dog and mid sized dog over the years, and had no worries because we kept them on leash in the campground and they ran free on the dog side of the beach. The campground staff have always been polite and kind to everyone at our sites. They even have loonies at the office for the showers! You need to book in advance, before arriving to the Island. It is a very busy place.

Easy check in, neighbouring sites were pretty quiet. For a private campground sites were fairly spacious. Close proximity to beach and shopping. Restaurants and grocery nearby.

Beautiful Beach which is NOT part of this campsite! Small sites. Not level. No privacy. Extremely dusty. We’ve tented on many sites (most awesome!) and this was the worst site visited. Beautiful Island and clean outhouses on site. The staff at this campsite are hopefully NOT an accurate representation of the people here. The office staff are very rude. Consistently.

I love the beach at Tribune Bay. But ... the campground ... We contacted Tribune Bay campground via email in mid August 2018 to inquire about an RV site for the labour day weekend. I left tel number and email contact and have not heard back from Tribune Bay campground. it seems they simply do not care about reservation requests. I’m very disappointed.

Not alot of choices on the island and this one has most sites and right next to tribune bay. Very busy, sites are not very private for most part, they are close together but there are trees and bushes! Kids darting everywhere was daunting. Would be difficult for Rvs accept first dozen sites or so. Pit toilets were cleaned in morning which was nice. Didn't have a shower so can't comment on them. Not sure, but full sign looked semi permanent. I asked if one was available regardless. Lady didn't seem thrilled but gave us a site. Next day there were lots of sites available but full sign still up. Maybe it was an oversight? Website says they want you to reserve instead for a fee.
