Spectacular alpine features and mountain vistas. You can get all four seasons in just one day if you are lucky! This lovely park languished in need of proper maintenance for too many years. Finally and thankfully the operator folded allowing someone else to take on the task. The new operator has done a great job of reversing the neglect of the previous operator. The campgrounds and common areas are finally starting to show the benefit of a little care the public funds are meant to provide. I hope with a little support for the tough job they have the park can return to what it once was before the last group pocketed everything they could while nothing was done.

Great place to spend a weekend. Reasonable prices and lots of trails to keep you occupied. Canoeing is always a favourite! The restaurant has some pretty good food (just stay away from the dinner menu...really overpriced for what you get) No cell service and the wifi is spotty at best but the whole point is to unplug and get outside!

This large park borders Hwy 3. The campgrounds are a short drive on a paved road up into the hills. We chose the Lightening Lakes campground. As with most BC Provincial parks the are no utilities at any campsites. Drinking water tabs are located throughout park. Dump station is available near hwy. There are big, clean washrooms with free, hot showers and a modern children’s playground. The sites are large, mostly level and fairly private. Beautiful forest, lots of shade, beautiful lake a short walk from campground. LOTS of trails in this park. They are well marked with distances and difficulty. Good roads, well maintained park with friendly staff.

There's no describing the possibility here at Manning park. I've been out hiking there in the summer and see miles of beautiful country and spent many nights sleeping under the stars here. There's no shortage of places to go, and each hike takes you somewhere in the park that will take your breath away. Just pack smart and be prepared During the winter the ski resort is another worth while thing to see. Lift tickets and equipment rentals are fairly priced, and they also offer toboggan, and snowshoe rentals. Walking the trails in the snow offer another excellent outdoorsy way to visit the park. The resort is amazing as well, and they offer good food and have a pool with two hot tubs. Nothing feels much better then a day of winter activities then sitting around in a hot tub with friends

Manning is always lovely for the skiing and snowshoeing but we were a bit dismayed at the lodgings. The Lodge itself has seen better days. Threadbare couches, old carpeting and chipped drywall that hasn't been repaired properly. One of the hot tubs wasn't working (lukewarm water and no jets) and the restaurant is rather dated and could be freshened up a bit. They seem to have spent all their money on the lovely new cabins. I'm sure they are beautiful inside! Staff in the Nordic Centre, restaurant and Country Store were very friendly and helpful, though and were incredibly lucky to get a last minute room for Family Day weekend! All in all we enjoyed ourselves very much.
