Absolutely gorgeous! Views and access to the river and a boat launch in a lagoon. Also trails around. There are 8 spots and it's first come first serve. There are metal "bear boxes" for keeping your food in too! Remember to bring your own firewood! There is a nice out house and multiple garbage and recycling bins too, so you don't have to pack your trash out. My husband and I will definitely be going again. Oh and you will need your bug spray.

I really enjoyed this campsite. There were 8 sites total, each with a tent pad, table, and grill/fire pit. The toilets were kept clean, and there was trash and recycling right on site. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night and it was peaceful with great access to the hikes in the park. Beautiful views of the river. There was a posting that this site will be $10 beginning in May 2018, but being such a great site, I would definitely stay for this small fee.

Congested with little space to yourself. Not worth the camping spot. I would rather camp outside Newhalem.

Great spot for camping along the river!

Very pretty campspot. Quiet. Right one the blue/green river. Super nice. The downside...there are only 6 spots on a first-come first-serve basis, so get there early.
