What a wonderful find! My sister and I found Garden Acres Campground last minute on our Island trip. Scott and Janet are some of the most friendly, helpful and caring hosts. They made our experience so much more lovely. The breakfast option was great and they deliver it right to your campsite. They were such sweet and attentive hosts, it made me feel like we were staying with friends. Bunnies, deer and birds roam the yard and it is super peaceful and quiet. Would absolutely come back.

These folks are the nicest people you’ll meet! We had such a great time at their farm/ campground. They put a lot of effort into making it really nice and you can tell they’re really genuine family run business. Between the shower tent with hot water and the bathroom trailer, there was nothing more we could have asked for. Also we highly recommend the breakfast, they make it right there and the eggs come straight from the chickens. They have phone charges and games and it’s just an all around good experience. Thanks Scott & Janet!!

Hidden Gem! This tent only campground is set on a small hobby farm in beautiful Brentwood Bay. Meticulously maintained grounds, sparkling washroom facilities and limited number of campers ensures a joyful stay. We used Gardenside as a home base for two days of Kayaking in Todd and Sannich inlet. Caught a good party band Friday night and fireworks Saturday night at Butchard Gardens. We purchased farm fresh eggs (that tasted like eggs). Scott and Janet will also serve farm to table food right to your camping spot. Unbelievable.

Amazing place to camp, super quiet location on a beautiful acreage, no noises apart from birds, even heard an owl in the night! Owners are very nice and accommodating, and have very delicious breakfast options, the homemade bread and jam are to die for! Will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Vic!

I found Gardenside last minute on a last minute bike trip doing the Cowichan trail figure 8 bike packing route. Highlight of the trip. Scott and Janet are phenomenal hosts, location is perfect (if you like quiet tenting, excellent wine (Church and State just 1 KM away), gorgeous scenery (Tod inlet which is free or Buchart Gardens, not free) and much more. I stayed there at the beginning and end of my trip. Great place for one night or bookend your trip it flying from Victoria or taking a ferry (either Swartz Bay or Victoria). Oh and don’t skip Janet’s blackberry preserves for your waffle in the morning.
