Really cool spot to spend a hot afternoon, however... I would absolutely NOT recommend swimming unless you're wearing something you feel like burning afterwards. I hung yo my bathing suit to dry and the next morning, upon walking into the bathroom where I had hung them up, I nearly vomited from the smell. I don't know ow what is in the water but it is absolutely revolting.

Where do i start ? I grew up here. Me and my dad lived there for almost 10 years. I couldn't have asked for a better place to grow up. Everyone that lived there was very nice, and the managers were great people as well. I have fond memories of exploring around the forest/campsites, swimming in the lake, riding around on the back of the managers golf kart, and meeting new people all summer, that were camping there. I would play with my friends down at the playground, and buy candy from the office shop. My dad ran into the manager the other day, apparently he got ripped off bad by the selfish developers who bought the park. I was devastated to hear that they are going to be building condos!! Where is the outrage? does anybody care that not only is a great campsite being demolished, but peoples homes as well? How are they going to develop anyways with all the Garry oak trees around the area? The CRD should have bought the site and made it a part of the park. What happened should have never happened. On the positive side, i will always have my best memories from my time living there. I wish all of my old neighbors the very best in finding a new place to live. As well as the great managers. Thank you to all of you who made living, and camping there so fun, and memorable.

Awesome campground. Now being replaced with nasty condos. Oh well good times we had there !!

The staff is very friendly and the campground is nice and has everything you need (showers, water, washing machine and WiFi [only near the office]), BUT the restrooms are the dirtiest I have ever seen on a campground. There is mud in the showers and in the sink, there are leaves on the floor and I don't want to report about the toilets. Everything could really need a session with a high pressure cleaner...
