The nicest park in this part of the Kootenays. Large, shady campsites with lots of privacy. Bathrooms are clean and feature flush toilets and one building with showers. There is no hot water in the washrooms which keeps the crowds at the sinks down - a positive feature in my mind. The beach is good although it gets rocky as you enter the water. The lake is glacier fed so it takes some time to get in. BC Parks does a good job administering the park although there is a contractor who actually runs it. The contractor does a good job cleaning and running the firewood and front gate. BC Parks runs interpretive programs for kids and adults. There is a salmon run here in August which is fascinating if you've never seen one.

Very large beach to play with pristine lake and view of the mountains. Playground, modern washrooms and lots of trails in the shade. This location is the habitat of 200 special is of birds through the year. A favorite spot fir birdwatchers. Bring your binoculars.

Amazing spot! Very clean, sites are secluded, and staff were excellent! Ann P. helped me out tremendously with providing me access to wifi and facilities in order for my international Skype interview. She was a great help and the staff were wonderful! I would highly recommend this place! 5-stars!
