RV Resort on the Lake was a great place to park for a few months. Although the winter weather was pretty wet and windy, the RV Resort on the Lake was still nice. We stayed for the winter of 2015/2016. The RV park is situated next to Westwood Lake with an access gate to the walking trails and beach. The park features a clubhouse with small gym, washrooms with showers, laundry room with 5 washers and 5 dryers, pool table, TV room, kitchen and living-room area. The pool and hot tub are open seasonally (hot tub opened in March and closed in October) Children under 14 need parental supervision and under 14 are not allowed at all in the hot tub. There is a bit of a lawn behind the clubhouse for ball and badminton and also a small tennis court. The real gem with this place is access to the trail system. Bring your mountain bikes or hiking boots for endless hours of trail exploration. Dogs are welcome at the RV park and are provided with numerous poop-bags so you can keep the park clean. Dogs are generally very well behaved and quiet at the park. The park is more oriented toward adults but a few kids come to stay and are welcome at the clubhouse. The RV sites are fairly long and wide. The grass in each rental site is in a bit of a sad state because some tenants park on their grass or cover it up with mats. Long-term tenants are required to care for their own area. A lawn mower and weed whacker are provided free. Initial parking of a large RV in the park can be a bit scary. The main road is wide enough but pulling into one of the loops may require you to ask folks to move their vehicles so you can get by. Other amenities include Cable TV hookup and you can rent a shaw internet modem and have it tacked onto your rent, which will actually save you some money. Rosie and Wendy in the office are always friendly and professional and the park is very well organized. The only downfall of the park is that all the lots are either owned or for sale. If you are renting monthly, you need to keep in mind that your lot could be purchased and you will have to move either to a new spot or somewhere else if there are no free spots. We enjoyed our time at RV resort on the lake and would definitely return in the summer to enjoy the lake.
