Absolutely beautiful. Nice trails even a wheelchair accessible one and sights that are wheelchair accessible! Nice safe fire pits. Camp host is super great even after we accidentally broke the handle on his ax. He brought us lots of chopped wood everyday! Let us know where really cool places to hike were. Absolutely loved it!!!

A lovely primitive campground for viewing the plentiful wildlife in the area. It's also central to many close by recreational areas. This site has vault toilets that are well stocked. Very popular and first come first served. The campground is fairly accessible and most of the toilets are easy to get to off the road through camp. There is a paved trail but I never walked it, but call the local Nation Forest Service if you have questions. The host for the 2016 year was very friendly and unobtrusive. Best of all it's free. It's near the water so take lots of bug repellant. Watch for the Cattle and the cattle guards ;). The Loons are loud if you've never experienced them before. We also spotted an Eagle up there.
