What a way to start an RV holiday! No where we have stayed on this trip since our first 2 nights at Rathtrevor have come close in comparison. Absolutely beautiful beach and shaded walking trails. The staff member who met us at the gate at 11.20pm as she was finishing her shift was delightful. She was locking up but took the time & listened to our story of missing the ferry, getting lost, driving in terrential rain in an 28' RV for the first time etc. We had a reservation so she let us into the park and gave us clear directions to the site. We were so lucky to run into her locking the gate or we'd have spent the night on the hwy somewhere still feeling lost. The park was BEAUTIFULLY maintained. Accessible (wheelchair/stroller friendly) and the campsites were very private with a lot of growth in between each site. Free & clean showers, great playground for kids & lovely pebbly beach. I would love to go back to Rathtrevor.

Great place to camp. They also have different events happening in the camp to keep you and your kids entertained. My favorite part is flush toilets and showers and water sources everywhere.

Huge beach-side park with nature walking trails, camp ground, fire pit, children play park, washrooms and sheltered picnic area in town of Parksville BC. It is a nice area to relax and get away from home. Camp and picnic facility has user fee and also I think you can book ahead. Deer and rabbits are wild, please don't feed them. Plenty of shore line to relax. Lot of parking is available at couple of different location for free. Please read info boards at the park for more detailed information.

Beautiful, well maintained campground. Sites are reasonably spaced and private. The beach is an absolute must see at low tide as it goes out for 1km and there is all kinds of things to explore.

Over a kilometer of beach to get to the water at low tide. Perfect sand for sand castles. Stunning view and not over crowded.
