Came here for a morning with strong start. I love the "new" park (new to me, because I've been coming here since I was a kid, when the old playground was at the bottom of the parking lot) and being able to walk along the water. Beautiful park and a couple covered areas as well as shade from the trees which is nice for the summer. Only downside is that there is no shade at the actual park and everything gets extremely hot, but every park is like that.

Family friendly. Areas to reserve for large groups, with eating areas. Playground, though not a ton of sun shelter (bring your own). Swimming in Bright Angel creek.

Trails are too short for anything more than a quick walk but it's a beautiful area to hang out in the water and by the river. In the summer the river is calm and mostly shallow with a few areas just deep enough to swim in making it a great place for families.

Such a great place to spend the day! Swimming in the river, crossing a suspension bridge, climbing trees, catching frogs and crayfish - so much great nature in one place..a hit with kids.

I didn’t know this area existed until my Airbnb host suggested it. If you have kids, there’s a playground. If you’re solo, it’s just a nice little walk and cute suspension bridge. There are a few tracks that are well worth the explore. The river is a nice place to wade/swim on a hot day. I spent about 30mins here.
