I’m giving this 5 stars because just across the road & on the other side of the bridge is some of the best and most exciting dirt bike trails one can find in BC. On top of the scenery I cannot say enough about it. A family that rides together stay together. Be safe and have fun kids! Grip it & rip it.

BC Parks describes this park as “convenient overnight camping”. On the plus side this park is close to Hwy 1 and is easy to find. The park is clean, and the staff is friendly. 10 sites offer power and water hookups Most sites offer a view of Kamloops lake. On the negative side the park looks like a gravel parking lot with picnic tables. The lake empties into a fast-moving river that is not safe for swimming or canoeing. There are no trails, no boat launch or other recreation. The shower house is old. The weather can be very hot and dry in summer months. The campsites are small with no privacy and no shade.

My wife and i stoped here drove around looked at the sites walked up to the office read the rules and walked back to rv and discussed staying. Yes we were going to until I was greeted by the rudest lady. And I was filling up my water tank cause we had more scenic touring to do..Basicly I was not allowed to fill up my water tank cause we had not paid yet..Money hungry and rude i give it 3 thumbs down and won't return.

A little dusty and dogs can roam without leashes so there is dog poop not picked up throughout the site. Otherwise a great place to camp close to home and warm waters, sandy beaches. The access to beach is a little hard over driftwood and not wheelchair /stroller accessible.

This is a really good spot for fishing. The fish put on a good fight. It's a lot of fun if you like the outdoors and fishing
