A great campground located on the western side of Glacier National Park. This campground had running water, flush toilets, bear storage lockers, in addition to fire rings and picnic tables. There is decent vegetation that provided some privacy between campsites. Also, be aware that black bears were often spotted near camp. The facility is located near Apgar Village and several hikes.

Out of all the campsites that we were around, this one definitely was the best. C loop was amazing, tucked right into the forest with a short walk from Lake McDonald. Be forewarned, reservations and the campsite fill up quickly!

Very quiet & peaceful. Well managed w/ hiking trails, bike paths & campfire events for families. We love camping there!

Omg holy family overload.... This place is great if you have a 3 to 7 year old that rides bike with training wheels with their friends in circles all day around the camp site. It's also great for playing volleyball, kickball, soccer, wrestling matches, yelling bouts, or to get directed by parents from a hundred feet away. Is is NOT the place to go if you want peace and quite, solitude, or a soft place to set a tent. Also not a good place if you don't like others walking in, around, or through your camp site. The showers were a pleasant treat and really the only reason for our visit but the wait was a bit excessive with only one shower area in the whole camp ground for like 5 or 6 loops. All in all...it worked..but I couldn't get to the back country soon enough! Woke up with a sore throat because the camper next to us smoldered leaves or trash all night long to "combat the mosquitoes" Also had a neighbor kid who wouldn't leave and parents didn't care....really? GET YO DANG KID LOL!
