My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights at this campground and we enjoyed our stay. Our site was bigger than we expected and it was fairly private. The campground is clean and quiet and the staff was friendly. We SO appreciated that we could do laundry before moving on to our next camp ground on the last day. The showers in the office building are fantastic, the others are...clean but rustic. As for the trains, we read the reviews before booking so we were aware that the trains might be loud. We brought ear plugs with us but our sleep was still interrupted a few times (but was not a big deal). There's really nothing that the campground can do about it. We would stay here again the next time we're in Golden.

Joy has helped me greatly today from a simple call in Ontario and with my nephew who is staying in this campground. She has gone above and beyond her job duties and for this I thank you so very much. This must be be an awesome place with people like you. Will find out soon from my nephew.🙏😊

This seemingly nice campground has one major flaw... It's impossible to sleep there! It's situated right beside the main railway line and massive trains pass by every 20-30 minutes blowing their whistles and shaking the place down. It's so loud that we left without any sleep at all.

We saw this campground in 2017 when we were in Golden at another campground and said if we ever came back we would come here. We are big fans of supporting municipal and provincial parks both in Canada and the US. We just completed a 3 night stay here in space 21 and it was a lovely experience. Yes it is near a railroad track but how many campgrounds are not?? Especially in Canada! Plus I think it is fascinating watching those trains. It is right on the Kicking Horse River coming out of Yoho so how much can you ask for??We were in one of the power/water sites. If you have a dog, you can get out on some of the Golden Municipal trails right from camp. Everything in town is close, groceries, brewpubs, shops, etc. Golden is a great little town with access to 3 national parks here is great! We hiked in Yoho, and Thompson Falls. Canyon creek is a great hike. The women that run this campground have been doing so for 12 years and they continue to make improvements and run a great business. They know what they are doing and have made this a nice revenue stream for the city. The camp store has free coffee every morning too. There are some beautiful forested sites if you don't need hookups. I think the word is out on this campground and that it is no longer a well kept secret. Thanks!
