This is a great little park. Although it is more focused on camping, it is still a nice walk. Access to some areas can depend on the water level in the lake, and may not be available.

Book at 7am, the moment the reservation window opens for your date range. Very hot like a dessert surrounded by a lake. Bring lots of water.

This is a beautiful location to take a walk. There is also a picnic area for day use. The camping sites are beautiful.

It is a lovely place to camp in the summer and just as nice to go for a walk at any time of the year. It is very much out in the open being a spit out into the lake so it's best to go on a calm rather than windy day. When the sun is out and the air is still, it's an easy and pretty stroll
