Ferry Island is a camp ground that has good fishing great trails and even a little pond that the kids will love to either swim or in July and Aug they can catch frogs at the pond. There is showers and even a playground for the little types who just want to stay on dry ground. You can bring your dogs and if they are not so people friendly or just wound up you do have to keep them on a leash but if they listen great and have good manors than you can walk the trails with them off leash. Most of the campers there have dogs so all dogs have to get along just like the people. But it is a good camp ground your close to town and all amenities. So go on down there this summer or even this weekend and check it out you will love the place just like my family and I do

Love Ferry island. I have lived here and seen some incredible sights but Ferry island remains as one of the most magical places. Dress for the weather it receives lots of it in all the seasons. Great camping. Great park for kids. Public restroom. Beautiful walking trails. Dogs allowed. Fire pits available at picnic locations. Beautiful place!

Love camping here. Very nice, long trail walks...look for the carvings as you go along...watch for bears! Especially during the Salmon run. They hang out at the river. Great fishing in the river. Highly recommend camping here.

I really enjoy walking here with my family and I'm excited they opened a new trail. The only thing I don't like is people don't always pick up after their dogs. I understand that's not the parks fault since there are baggies provided, but the irresponsible pet owners make what should a pleasant walk with my family one of constant lookout for land mines.
