Very affordable camping. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms/showers. Location is quite close to an active lumber mill but if you're in a vehicle or camper you won't even notice. Tenters might need ear plugs if they are light sleepers.

Had a great stay for 2 nights.Very clean and beautiful site, free showers and a rec room with toilet and kitchen , $20 a night for camping. Wonderful friendly staff.Only fault is the tenting area could do with more upkeep as their more focused on the rv parking.

Very clean! Small Park by the river. You have to leave the site to reach the river because the park is fenced off. 5 to 10 min walk from town. Building with tables, chairs, kitchen. No fire allowed. Bbq pits. Tent or RV. Very open, so little privacy, if you desire. Cheap for tenting. Great for one or 2 nights of basic camping or stop over. Not for the avid camper.

We are 'fulltimers' and this park, without doubt, is the best we have stayed at. The hosts are fantastic folks and incredibly helpful. The park is quiet, has great spaces for all sizes of RV's, pull-throughs, impeccably clean shower and washroom facilities, and all this in a beautifully treed setting. In our experience city-owned parks are generally not well cared for or well run. Claybanks is a wonderful exception. Kudos to the hosts and the City of Merritt. They have the best kept secret for RV'ers in BC.
