Excellent exhibit detailing the horrific treatment Japanese Canadians received at the hands of the Canadian government. They were uprooted from their homes and jobs with all their assets confiscated. The compensation they were offered in the 1950s was a pittance. An apology from the government wasn't forthcoming for many years. The photos and the internment buildings gave a very good picture of the hardships these Canadians received. Recommended for all ages.

A piece of history that you can take in and reflect on. Powerful to read letters written during this time.

So grateful that this place is still here. As a grandchild of an internee I've always wanted to learn more. Since what they teach in our schools is not enough. The host here was very knowledgeable and the gardens are stunning. This centre is very well preserved and should be on everyone's bucket list so that we do not lose this important and sad part of Canada's history.

A nice way to honor the Japanese who were treated so unfairly by removing them from their homes and businesses and put in camps. So much respect for how they handled it. This place oozes peace and serenity.

This is an important memorial to visit as it's a stark reminder of the injustices visited upon "others" out of ignorance , fear and prejudice. May it never happen again.
