Although the Bowron Lakes canoe circuit was absolutely amazing, our experience renting canoes at Becker's Lodge was not. The owner of Becker's Lodge, Lothar Vollmer, was extremely rude and was solely concerned about our money. Be prepared for a ruthless businessman.

All they want is your money, nothing else. They won't let you cancel a reservation and they will make you pay the full amount even if you can't make it out there. Stay away. If you just have to stay here, ask for their cancellation policy ahead of time as they won't tell you what it is until after they have your credit card number and have made the reservation.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our chain run a while ago. They had great rental gear and friendly helpful staff, I'd recommend staying here and renting here its a beautiful place. The chain itself is amazing.
