Great scenery, sub par facilities. We spent two nights here, camping and the price was 16 per night per adult. In all, for a campsite, we paid over $128 CAD. So the things we didn't like: 1. Nobody to speak with / interact with. We had a self check in sheet and there was a sheet with door bell on top of it to ring if you need to speak with someone. Nobody came. The phone number provided, nobody answered the call. During our entire stay there (2 nights) we didn't see or speak with any staff member / owner. 2. Bathrooms were non existent. It was a disgusting outhouse(s). I expect more for $128. 3. No proper shower. It was an open air showers 4. No proper garbage disposal. They had some recycling, but we had to take our garbage off the island with us. Again, for that fee, I would expect them to get rid of it for us. 5. Parking is fairly far from some sites. We had to walk with our stuff about 500 meters. Not a big deal, but we didn't really come prepared with backpacks. We were more prepared for "car camping". Not really a big deal in the end. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are way better places in BC for much better prices and a lot better facilities. I will not visit this campsite again. Mayne Island is nice, but I would look for some other type of accommodation. Lack of proper bathrooms and showers were the main reason we did not like this spot. .

Beautiful place! The tree shower is amazing. Easy location for bike camping--only about a 20 minute ride from the ferry, and best of all, stores and a wonderful restaurant are only about a 5 minute ride away. Saw lots of eagles, and there was a large group of seals hanging out almost the whole time we were there. Nice that there is an outdoor sink to use, as well. The oceanfront location is gorgeous. I definitely hope to go back the next time I'm out west!

Incredible site! Beautiful ocean front views of snow capped mountains in Miner’s Bay. 3-minute drive to great coffee shop, restaurants, Saturday Market, etc. Very friendly owners. Amenities (hot-water shower, dish-wash station & outhouses) are immaculately maintained. Highly recommended.

Nice scenery but I agree with some other reviews around: the outposts were disgusting, no soap to wash hands with and the open shower was non-inviting. We paid a lot for this private campsite so we expected more. While other campsites charge $25/campsite and have at least minimal facilites, this campsite charges $16/person with sub standard amenities. I would not recommend this campsite.

Mayne Island Camping is a little piece of Paradise. Both the sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous. In the very early morning you can hear the waves lapping the shore, birds calling out and the seals slapping the water and barking. It was very peaceful and I felt very rested and rejuvenated after my stay. Just what I needed! Thank you to the helpful and friendly hosts.
