There are way better campground options on Salt Spring. The only thing in its favour is the close proximity to town. Seems that there has been a change in management from what we understood. There is a sketchy energy to this place and not sure if there were individuals dealing drugs, but there was definitely something not quite right. Also the fact that there seemed to be "permanent residents" at the campground, and individuals scoping out camp sites. Shower was $1 for every 2 minutes, no plumbing and outhouses that smelled. Made the whole experience not what we had kind of hoped for. My friends had been there the year before and had said it was much better. Will not return. Save your money.

Basic, minimal campground. Pros: - Location - a short bike ride/walk into town. - Washrooms are clean and airy. - Single shower on the tree is cute! ($1/2 min of hot water) Cons: - Extremely loud chickens and roosters every morning at 5AM before the sun rose. - Smell of chicken/manure/feed - Lack of grass/pebble rocks as campsites.

Wonderful experience.. plenty of privacy and space. Close to town, great rates, and helpful and lovely staff. My partner and I were pleased with our stay .. thank you - S.Lahue and A.Jones

Bayne is an extremely pleasant and laid back camp host. Told us all we needed to know without being pushy or impatient. Loved the nursery and the fact that there is a great deal of trust here. Truly an excellent Salt Spring Island experience!!

Campground is in an amazing setting that feels like a jungle. Pitches are very quirky and it has an incredible outdoor shower that works very well. However it's very noisy, with people making turning up, and pitching tents, at all times of the night. Strange check in system too; the manager gave us grief for not following what he said was the procedure, even though we did exactly what the sign said! And although the shower is cool, there's only one so we had to wait quite a while each time we wanted to shower
