My wife and I have talked about giving Stand Up Paddling a try for a few years now. Earlier this week we dropped in to Alpha Adventures and signed up for SUP lessons. Best decision of the summer (so far anyway). Sarah met us at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park, and took us out for a fantastic paddle across to the far side of the bay, and within a couple hours, I can honestly say this is something everyone should try! It's awesome! Sarah gave us all the safety tips and balance tricks needed to really make sure we "got it". It was apparent from minute one that we were in very capable hands. If you've ever thought about giving Stand Up Paddling a try (and really what are you waiting for?) you owe it to yourself to drop into Alpha and have a chat with Sarah, Jamie or any of their staff. You'll be happy you did!

Amazing first time experience kayaking & camping. My boyfriend and I stumbled across this store while camping at Creekside. We ended up coming back with another couple to kayak the Sechelt Inlet as recommended by Sarah. It was a great recommendation as there were numerous camping options depending on how hard and far we wanted to push ourselves in a weekend. We saw lots of wild life, including jellyfish, crabs and seals! Despite arranging a time for pick-up prior to leaving for the weekend, Sarah was incredibly accommodating and picked us up 2hrs earlier as we got in before the heavy rainfall. We would all highly recommend. We will definitely be back for a longer trip next time!

I've had good experiences here buying hiking clothing and equipment in the past. Friendly staff, decent prices. I couldn't help but notice a couple scathing reviews below, which were responded to directly by the business owner. It is surprising that people would blame their failure understanding the rental agreement on the store, as it is their responsibility as a consumer before they agree to it and submit payment. The responses by the stores owner were respectful and to the point, yet I see someone taking this self defense as some form of rudeness? Good on you for sticking up for yourself guys, consumer entitlement is running rampant these days. These are the type of problem customers that likely harass service staff at restaurants, for example. Can't let these types of people bully you, way to stick to your guns.

I recently organized a trip to Tetrahedron Provincial Park for a group of friends and needed to get everyone together and up the mountain safely. I had friends coming in from Alberta, the Lower Mainland and met a few on the Sunshine Coast. Alpha Adventures provided exceptional service in organizing pick up/drop off times and equipment rentals. Jamie picked us up at the Langdale ferry terminal, made a stop to pick up the other friends, and brought us up the mountain along with snowshoes. He was fun, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable about the local conditions. Pick up from the mountain was just as easy as we drove back to the ferry terminal after our 4 day adventure. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would recommend them to friends and family alike. Big shout out to Ema and Jamie for such a great experience. 2 thumbs up for sure!

We were greeted by a very friendly Jamie at the Pender location. He walked us through the process and made sure we knew everything we needed to know. He gave us good recommendations for seal watching, which turned out to be fantastic. I would recommend this rental to anyone visiting the coast. Thanks Jamie!
