Don was very friendly and kind. The property is big enough for 5 - 6 campers. The night we stayed there was folks from Idaho, Texas, Spain, Germany, Montreal, and a local family from an hour away. Awesome conversations around the community campfire outfitted with swings the whole way around. Definitely worth a visit. The mosquitoes are indeed very thick, and the ground is a little bit uneven. But the price was right, and visiting with folks was great fun.

I showed up before normal season begins. Things are frozen and it was snowing at one point. They welcomed me with open arms and even offered the small camper by the water. Don showed me how to use my new chainsaw and a better way to split small pieces of wood. Even educated me on fire starting ( as I suck). This place has been going for 20 years and has always been free. Don and his son Jeremy are super nice accommodating people. You just don't see this kind of kinship anymore. It's a bit of a hill and windy drive to get here....but so worth it. I will definitely be coming back here again and again.

The best people around to hangout with and will do anything to help you out when you are stuck, everyone should visit this place. There's no other place like this where you just feel welcome.

Very cool spot. I've stayed at a lot of free campsites that were kinda sketch, not this one. It even has hosts and they were very nice. They sold us wood and even helped us get our fire going.

The friendly, generous owner of this private property gives up free space for campers. There is a fire pit and an outhouse. Take your garbage when you go. Although not required, it's nice to sign the guest book and leave a donation in the jam jar. Somebody has to put gas in the lawn mower!
