Nice camp sites right on the river and lots of friendly people to meet. Perfect place to hit the re set button and unwind.

One of the nicest spots in Maine right on the West Branch of the Penobscot river with Mount Katahdin in the background good place to fuel up the snowmobiles and get a bite to eat, lots of homemade goodies and a little bit of everything in the store. Definitely deserves a visit just to see the Critter and black bear mounts.

No internet for the entire week we was there with alot of other empty cabins that we could have been offered. Two years in a row no back deck cleared of snow, been coming for 12 yrs and decided this would be our last.

I stopped in for a warm dinner after skiing in KWWNM. They serve fast food like hamburgers if that works for you but I would suggest you try either their special soup or their pizza. I had a sausage soup that was very good but the real hit for me was the cheese bread served on the side. They make all their own baked goods and these used their pizza dough. They were excellent! Super fresh - the real thing. Had I stayed a second night I certainly would have given the pizza a try.
