I will always treasure my memories of this awesome, hilarious, fun, adventure-packed, friendship-building, amazing and supportive staff, beautiful morning polar club bear swims, and personal growth over the hears I had the great fortune to attend as a 9,10,11,12 & 13 year old for leadership camp! I saw the previous 1 star review, mentioning the woman’s daughter crying and I have to admit I cried at first and remember the counselors ingeniously not coddling me and instead encouraging fellow campers and soon-to-be-new-friends to talk with me and help me feel more at ease. This was a great way to build comradery between fellow campers and teach the kids they can help each other through those tough times and didn’t always need an older role modal to coddle them but rather learn how a new friend can better help support them and build trust and friendship between fellow campers and new friends. This was a wonderful lesson I learned and I thank Camp Jordan once again for all the great things you taught me 30+ years later. Cheers and thanks again for the great life lessons and wonderful memories!

Camp Jordan is one of the most incredible camps in the United States. The Bangor YMCA executes safety, fun, and values. Camp Jordan was the most important part of my childhood, and I now know countless families who say it has given their child a sense of family and home. I can't recommend it highly enough!

My daughters experience at this camp was terrible. I wouldn't want anyone to go through the experience that she did. Her counselor was incredibly mean to all of the campers and she came home crying.
