Beautiful scenic area, great for families and has great renovated bathrooms. Cabins are comfortable and has a pleasant rec center, volleyball area, tetherball, basketball hoop, and rope course. Canoeing and kayaking is another wonderful thing to do there.

Don’t expect them to be honest with you!!! Quick back story...my daughter was reluctant to go, like really did not want to attend but had signed up with a friend so I was forcing her to rough it out for the week because she had made a commitment to her friend. Unfortunately on their 2nd day there her friend was injured and unable to return to camp leaving my daughter who didn’t want to be there in the first place alone. I talked with the director and she assured me that my daughter had a great day, she said my daughter loved the food and when asked if she wanted to go home because her friend was leaving she said No. I was told she should stay and they will check in another 24 hours to see how she was doing. I agreed to this but asked that they access her mood when told she’d be staying and if she seemed upset to please call me back. After that call I spoke with mother of her friend who was present when my daughter was asked all these questions that reassured me that my daughter was fine and she told me my daughter shrugged when asked how the food was and then they asked her if it was better then school lunches and she said I guess. When asked if she wanted to leave because her friend was leaving she did say no but then they asked her why she wanted to go and she said “because I hate it here” something they conveniently forgot to mention to me. Throughout this conversation my daughter did not appear happy although I was told she was. My husband then called back and had a 20 minute conversation with the director expressing his concerns and pushed that she needed to go home. Very reluctantly they released her. Once home my daughter told me what I already knew in my heart...she HATED it there! She told the director she hated it there more then once and cried when told she had to stay! This speaks volumes about the situation cause my daughter typically keeps it together. She was also planning to try and overheat that night by wrapping herself up so she could go home!!! OMG how could they not see how unhappy she was? I mean really they did but ignored it! Kids get homesick and don’t necessarily enjoy camp however what upsets me is the deceitful information I was being told and the deceitful information they told my daughter! When being told she was staying another 24 hours the director told my daughter I wanted her to stay and it was my idea!!! NO it was not I was talked into it because “my daughter was having so much fun and fine” I do not tolerate lying especially when it’s done to my child!!! The camp itself seemed nice with lots of activities but if you have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing taken into consideration DON’T GO HERE!!
