My father in law took us to the botanical gardens for the first time today. My two sons had a blast exploring all the trails and searching for fairy doors and gnomes. They have a vast array of plants from all over the world and the staff are quite knowledgeable about them. You can easily spend hours just exploring the trails and looking at the beautiful plants. The cost for adults is $8.00 and children under 5 are free.

Very cool spot to visit if you enjoy plants/nature. Came here as a requirement for one of my courses at MUN and had a great time. The guide was very knowledgable and knew a lot about plant life. Should also mention that admission is free if you are a MUN student.

Very good place to go to get answers to all your questions about your flower garden. They are very pleasant and very willing to support your efforts. Flowers they sell are a bit on the expensive side.

MUN Botanical Garden is a horticultural treasure trove. It has over 250 different flowering rhododendron, which is one of the largest collections in all North America. The cultivated garden area has a greenhouse and a large collection of plants. Many of them named for educational purposes. It has a rock garden. Many of the rocks and boulders are made of limestone and have plants that only grow in limestone regions. the garden has nature trails that are easily navigated . Also a field house that has a gift shop, The Garden cafe, art shows and is devoted to education and research. No matter what time of year you visit during working hours the staff are friendly and the garden is sure to educate or inspire you.
