Great time at the beach. Be advised they have issued a warning that heavy equipment may be in site and convenience locations may be shut down especially on weekdays. Life guards were on from 10 am to 6pm, beach was busy but not overly crowded. Water was cool but not freezing cold whatsoever. Most visitors were friendly, just make sure not to take the back entrance by mistake as that is a scouts trail. Plenty of shade, but the sand is full of rocks which aren't 100% smooth, yet they aren't sharp necessarily either. All in all a good visit.

Very popular for a good reason. It has washrooms and changing rooms, lifeguards, a sandy beach, and a nice campground. Very popular and sometimes crowded.

We go here every summer. Boat launch for the kayak, clean lake with a smooth bottom and a LOT of improvements to the grounds....showers still the same so...meh...at least the water is warm.

Probably the best lake party in the Halifax Regional Municipality. I wish they were renting out kayaks here!

I think Dollar Lake might be haunted! One night when we were all asleep at night we heard the most unusual sound outside of our tent. It did not sound like any animal that roams the earth. The sound made the hair stand up on my skin. A few other people who I know have visited Dollar Lake have seen orbs at night flying over the lake.
