Older facility. Some of the buildings could use some maintenance and painting. Most sites are somewhat shaded. Sites are about 24 foot wide, with hookups in the middle of the 12 wide grassy area. Good number of tent sites and cabins. Sits right next to HWY 401. Needless to say there's MAJOR highway noise 24 hours a day. But then you know that if you did your homework.

This is a great KOA - the staff is very helpful and friendly - they really enjoy being there I think. The store has a lot of items that one might run out of; the check in was great - lots of help getting to where we needed to go. The bathrooms were extremely clean. On our site we had full hook to water, hydro and sewer. The site was clean and a nice size.

I love camping but this location is right next to the 401 and that's all you can hear. Unfortunately that's a deal breaker for me and we won't be coming back. Also, the lots were very small and closely packed together so very little privacy for us. During our stay, our water and electrical cut out and the staff, while courteous, were unable to help us. Despite the lack of electrical and the disruption to our water supply, we did not get a partial refund only apologies which did not help us to cook our food. Slightly disappointed with this as usually sites with electrical and water are more expensive. No fishing or beach on the campground, just a small unheated pool. I have the campground 2 stars because of the friendly staff who made the experience better despite the location and other complications that went unresolved.

We stayed for a total of three and a half days and four nights while touring Toronto. Overall, it is a decent park to stay at. The office staff is nice and accommodating. 30/50 amp services and water. Lots are crushed gravel and relatively level. There are cabins for rent with deluxe cabins deeper in the park. There is also lots for primitive camping. There is a playground and a small fenced in area for dogs to run. If you want to stay out after park hours, be sure to get the fab key ($10 CN refundable when you return the key), it is the only way back in when the gates are down. The laundry area is nice with two washers and three driers. My biggest complaint and the reason for 3 stars instead of 5 is that the showers and bathroom areas were dirty. In the whole entire time we were there, no one had cleaned the bathrooms and showers. They would be rather decent if it weren't for the care they did not get. The bathrooms and showers near the deluxe cabins were also filthy and in need of an upgrade. Note to the managers: please provide a clean place for people to use the bathroom and showers, an hour a day would be sufficient in keeping them clean.

Great experience. Staff member, Allison was great with my kids. So much family fun to be had. Beautiful, clean sites. Small rv sites but very, very well maintained. The tent sites looked so cool though. Totally private with a huge cedar hedge probably 20ft tall! Camping kitchen was awesome. A place to do dishes, boil some water or even BBQ if you don't have one. Lots of exploring to do out back and tons of activities up front. The pool was great. Only 40 minutes to Toronto. Can't say enough great things about this campground.
