We've been sending our girls to Camp Oconto for 7 years now and they love it more each year. Both want to become counsellors and our oldest will start as a "Quarter Counsellor" (QC) next year. The camp Director is an exceptional woman who through her leadership has created an environment that is both safe and fun, where the kids are comfortable being who they are and exploring who they want to become. Every time we pick the girls up from Camp Oconto we see a difference in them; apart from their summer tans and usually seeming taller (they love the food at camp!), they have also grown in self-confidence and maturity.

Was a camper a few decades ago and hope to see my daughter as a camper in a few years.

Camp Oconto has given by two daughters experiences that reach far beyond the month they spend there. The safe, positive and inclusive environment at Oconto fosters confidence in both social skills and life skills. My girls often reflect upon times at camp and relate them to what is happening in their non-camp life--school, sports teams and inter-personal relationships. I cannot thank Camp Oconto enough for the good times they've had at camp and the life dividends it's paid. My eldest daughter skill talks about the "friendship" roll she did in Kayaking! And watching my youngest daughter jump off High-Tower on visitors day--smile on her face--brought a smile to my face. Thank you Oconto for giving my children a lifetime of memories, friendships and confidence.
