ahh im stuck in my tent

Jul 7, 2017
I’m coming back for my third year now. Why? -Counselors are fun to make friends with and are pretty positive (it says that practically everywhere!) -Pretty easy to find someone that is like you, or does something similar to what you do! I love art and sketching and last year I found two kind people who loved to make up ideas with me and bring them onto paper. -Activities are actually pretty fun. Despite how tiring some are, (morning stuff usually,) it’s actually pretty cool to go through the activities we have there. Especially the lake. Lake Huron has some pretty nice waves sometimes, and it makes it fun. -That place helped me out with some of my fears. As I first walked into camp I had a “phobia(???)” of the dark. I just always had these waking nightmares but dealing with the problem face-to-face, I managed to overcome the fear of darkness. -The place really keeps you busy. There are optional stuff to take, and if you aren’t cut out for the stuff, you can opt-out on it, but I obviously recommend to stay and take a listen to this stuff, who knows, maybe you’d want to be junior counselor? -If you are dealing with personal issues, the counselors are always there to help and have your back. Hope you agree with me.

This camp is awesome!! I have been here for 7 years and I dislike when it's over and have to wait an entire year to go back. Food is awesome and the beach is great. I've met a ton of awesome people these past few years and I am so happy. Thanks for always letting me come back!!!!

Best camp I've ever gone to. I have never known the true reason of happiness until I came to this camp. DLC is the reason that I have amazing friends that I can trust with my life. It can be difficult to find people who you can trust, but this camp has taught me how to make friends with people I can trust. It's my third year here and I will come back every year forever. No place is this great.

One of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. Made tons of life long friends, food was amazing and the counsellors were the very best like no one ever was.
